We’re very excited to introduce Chris Blackburne to the Halos Osteopathy Team. For quite a few years we’ve been trying to collaborate with him but Chris has spent the last few years working in busy London clinics as well as travelling as the team Osteopath for various dance companies. He now wants to take his work out of the big smoke and in perfect time too!
Chris trained at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO), is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOSC) and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO).
An experienced Osteopath, Chris is a specialist in the quality treatment of injuries suffered by professional dancers, athletes and experts in martial arts. Since qualifying from the Institute of Osteopathy in 2009, he has helped dancers on their journey back to full fitness.
Although Chris’ speciality has been treating and consulting professional dancers, he continues to enjoy treating patients from all walks of life. Using a versatile range of techniques: soft tissue massage, joint articulation and spinal adjustments, a whole spectrum of postural pain problems that niggle us in daily life can be fully resolved and relieved. It is this passion for compassion, coupled with his own keen interest in Martial Arts, that has moulded his Osteopathic approach: a fusion of quality medical diagnostics, closely scrutinising and readjusting body mechanics, dovetailed with a holistic methodology that improves the psychological outlook, and ultimately the well-being, of every patient Chris treats.
