Claire Fryer – Counselling

Claire joins us as a counsellor who has worked in both private practice and as a bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care. She has a degree in Psychology and a postgraduate diploma in counselling from the university of Brighton.

Claire works with clients who have a variety of reasons for seeking counselling, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, addictions, pain or loss. Her theoretical perspective is humanistic which means she draws on ideas from Gestalt, TA and person centred therapy, according to the individual needs of each client. Her intention is to offer you a relationship based on acceptance, non-judgement and empathy, to create as safe a place as possible to explore whatever is most needed.

She is fully insured and is a registered member of the BACP (the main regulatory body for counselling in the UK) and works in line with their ethical framework.

Claire offers her first appointment free of charge. Giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and for you both to discuss whether counselling is right for you. Claire works with us on Friday afternoons.
